a

A wonderful and unique, mostly "custom, one-off" Heritage Sweet 16 from 1990. This is a wonderful guitar that sounds incredible and plays exceptionally well. The original pickup was replaced with a highly sought after TW Doyle pickup, and a phase mini switch has been added. The headstock design on this guitar has a wonderful unique rounded shape towards the top that you do not see on any other Heritage guitars. The inlays are also solid block inlays instead of the normal split-blocks you see on Sweet 16's. This was verified via emails with Heritage to be a one-off guitar made from the factory with these unique features. The guitar has previously been refretted with jumbo frets that extend wider than the originals, and we PLEK'd them in '23. The frets run wider and through the binding instead of over the binding. There are finish weather checking lines on the neck and body of the guitar. The guitar has no structural issues whatsoever and plays wonderfully. The figuring on the back is quite nice. The neck is straight, and the guitar is currently setup with medium-low action but can be lowered if desired. The unique features add to the value of this guitar, but we have priced this conservatively and hope it finds a good home with someone who will enjoy this unique and beautiful custom Heritage. Heritage currently do not make this type "custom" nor even a Sweet 16 model, so they are appreciating rapidly in value, and this trend will no doubt continue. This is a rare piece of American 3-dimensional Art, from the historic Parsons Street shop in old Kalamazoo, by the original Heritage craftsmen.
