* Optional ($400 upcharge in '96) solid carved Sitka Spruce top, instead of the standard Mahogany top. The upgraded Spruce top Eagles are quite rare, and was something our shop special ordered back then- several a year at the most for a few years.

The Heritage Eagle is a 17" lower bout width hollow Archtop guitar with a 25 1/2 inch scale, 1 11/16" nut, and a 3" body depth.
This guitar features the solid carved & hand tuned Sitka Spruce top with Mahogany back, sides and neck; Select East Indian Rosewood fingerboard w/ 12" radius.
100% original hardware includes solid mahogany pickguard; nickel plated H pattern trapeze tailpiece, Nickel plated Grover Rotomatic tuning keys; compensated adjustable Rosewood bridge; and adjustable truss rod.
The elegant & toneful Eagle was the workhorse of the Heritage archtop line. Handbuilt in Kalamazoo by former Gibson artisans in the historic Parsons Street shop, the Eagle is equivalent in size to the L-5C and L-7C, and shares the same body size, scale length and bracing.
The guitar is in excellent all-original condition without cracks. I shows just very minor nicks & surface scratches- although not much. It looks almost new,and includes the original case- which has some minimal wear showing. The guitar has been kept in fine playing condition. No smoke odor!
